Day 1

Arrival Muscat

You will be met on arrival at MCT Airport and transferred to the hotel.

Day 3

Muscat-Bilad Sayt-Misfat Al Abriyeen : 219 km

Today, you depart Muscat for the mountains of Oman by 4*4. On the way to Misfat Alabriyyn Village, you will visit Al Rustaq Fort, founded in 1250 AD on the ruins of an old tower that remained from the Sassanid era. Afterward, drive to Wadi Bani Awf covering a large area with several villages worth visiting and cool attractions including the famous “Snake Canyon”. At the end, stroll in the picturesque village of Bilad Sayt. Overnight in Misfat Al Abriyeen.

Day 5

Nizwa-Birkat Al Mouz-Wahiba Sands : 180 km

Depart Nizwa for Wahiba Sands by 4*4. En route, you will explore Birkat Al Mouz Village (literally means banana pool) and visit its ruins and UNESCO-listed irrigation traditional system. Then you head for Ibra Historical Districts known as the gateway to Oman’s Sharqiya region. Our exploration ends by taking a stroll in Wahiba Sands. Overnight in camp of Wahiba Sands.

Day 7

Wahiba Sands-Wadi Bani Khalid- Sur : 115 km

Depart Wahiba Sands for Sur. On the way, take a rest in Wadi Bani Khalid where big pools, boulders and springs refreshes you. In Sur, you will visit Dhow Factory where you can take the opportunity to look into the process of building wooden boat, and Al Ayjah Lighthouse, built by the Portuguese as a defending structure. At the end, you go for a delightful stroll along Turtle Beach in Ras al Hadd. You will stay overnight in Sur.

Day 9

Departure Muscat 

Transfer to MCT Airport for your flight home.

Day 2

Muscat

Start your city tour by visiting Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. This fantastic mosque which was built on the order of Sultan Qaboos features a large Persian carpet and big chandeliers holding 24 carat gold plating. Then proceed to Royal Opera House, considered as a reflection of the unique contemporary architecture of Oman. Afterwards, stroll in Mutrah Souq, the oldest Bazaar in Oman. Your next exploration is at Bait al Zubair Museum in which the most exceptional collections are displayed by a private entity. At the end, you proceed for a photo stop to the magnificent Al Alam Palace as the formal residence of Omani Kings and Jalali and Mirani Portuguese forts. You will stay overnight in Muscat.

Day 4

Misfat Al Abriyeen-Nizwa : 78 km

In the morning, stroll in Misfat Alabriyyn Village and take photos from beautiful gardens, open terraces and houses whose roofs are covered with palm leaves. Then depart for Nizwa, the birthplace of Islam in Oman. On the way, visit Bait Al Safah Museum and stroll in Al Hamra Mud Village, known for its traditional irrigation system. Afterwards, stop in Bahla and visit Bahla Fort, the first Omani site listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pottery Souq and Jabreen Fort, an important center of learning astrology, medicine and Islamic law in the past. At the end, depart for Nizwa in which you can visit Nizwa Fort featuring a unique large round shape used as a defending structure, and Nizwa Souq where Silverware, silver-plated daggers, potteries and jewelry are sold.

 

Day 6

Wahiba Sands

Wahiba Sands offers you adventurous activities such as camel riding and dune driving by 4*4. You will also get familiar with a glimpse of a traditional way of life.

Day 8

Sur-Wadi Tiwi-Muscat : 208 km

Depart Sur for Muscat. On the way, Depart Sur for Muscat. On the way, stop in Qalhat, the ancient city registered in UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visit Bibi Maryam Mausoleum. Then go for an excursion by 4*4 to Wadi Tiwi, also called Wadi of nine villages. Afterward, visit Fins Beach and head for Bimmah Sinkhole. This hole which is believed to exist as a result of a meteorite that hit the ground, offers you the opportunity for swimming in the turquoise water. Finally, you pay a visit to Quriyat Castle and enjoy an amazing view from the top of the castle. Stay overnight in Muscat.
